VINTAGE LARGE ART DECO DANCER DIMITRI CHIPARUS BRONZE SCULPTURE SIGNED FIGURE. This sculpture is in perfect condition. The Egyptian belly dancers steps forward, left leg kicked up, from behind a curtain on tiptoes, cocking her head, as she presents herself to her audience seducing them. Exquisite details are seen throughout the exotic costume accredited to the method of casting; the beads and her Candelabra headdress (shamadan), her decorated belly-shirt and the billowing pant legs.

She was captured using the age-old technique of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for preservation. She is mounted upon a black marble base with the artist.
