Vintage Fruit & Flowers Still Life Art LARGE Original Oil Painting in Gilt Frame
Beautifully rendered fruit & floral still life. The painting is artist signed. I have not been able to identify the signature.
I believe that it reads as "P Margaret". Estimated Age: Circa 1930's - 50's. This is quite a large piece. Size of canvas 30" x 40" Framed size is approximately 39" x 49". In my personal opinion, the painting is in good overall condition for it's age.
It shows some normal signs of aging which are completely normal for a painting from this era scratches, some light craquelure in a few areas, color loss, etc.. The frame is vintage / period matching (very valuable in it's own right). It shows some normal wear from use & display dings, scratches, scuffs, a few chips to the gesso & gilding, etc.. Structurally it's a very solid frame - ready to hang & display. Please refer to photos, and judge the cosmetics based upon your own personal preferences.
