For sale is this very old oil on canvas antique painting. It is signed on the lower right what i believe is s schairer and the number 48 what i think is 1848.

But i could be wrong. It shows 2 farm women in a snowy scene and a house. I strongly believe it is from east europe. I could not find out anything about the artist. I bought it around a half a year ago here in the states. The very old frame has a lot of damage to the gold color as well as the plaster.

The frame is also very deep (over 3 inches deep). With frame the dimensions are 25.5 inches wide by 21.5 inches high by 3.25 inches deep yes, these frames are something else!
