Unusual Antique Japanese Large Footed Bowl Geishas Floral Meiji Era Signed Rare

This antique Japanese Meiji large footed bowl is a truly rare find for collectors! This lovely piece features bright bold colors and raised gold gilding.

This piece has an artist's depiction of beautiful geishas, sitting amongst an assortment of flowers and intricate scroll work. It has been signed by the artist on the bottom of the base (see photos). I'm uncertain what year it was manufactured, but late 1800s to early 1900s seems to be the consensus.

It's an original, and is free of cracks, chips, or repairs of any kind. The shape of this piece is not something you typically find in this type of artwork, which makes it even more rare & impressive. The bowl itself is basically a square, with the 4 corners bent upward to form a basin. It's quite tall, standing at roughly 7 at the highest point.

It's very wide as well, measuring approximately 13 across. I had originally had the idea to drill out the center & make a sink out of it, but I couldn't bring myself to do it in the end. I figure it would be better used as a display piece instead, and this fine example of the Japanese Meiji era earthenware would make a great addition to any collection! Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made. Good packaging is included; double-boxing is not necessarily included. And international government regulations prohibit such behavior. Individual computers or displays may show colors differently. Questions pertaining to the item(s) are encouraged & will be responded to accordingly.
