Art collection for nautical, coastal and beach décor inspired by the beauty of Southern California coast and the joy of coastal living - by Ben and Raisa Gertsberg. Seashells are shaped and colored by nature; they look old and weathered and sport a variety of natural colors.

Ocean water and sand left some of them white, painted some in cool shades of blue, turquoise, purple and grey and others in warm tones of yellow, beige, brown or black. With their rich textures and spiral geometric patterns shells make a fascinating subject of art and photography, both as still life and in the natural setting. Three pieces from Seashells Spectacular series Nos. 2, 3 and 24 were featured in the Sunset Magazine 2005 Idea House, Ladera Ranch, CA as a part of Sunset Magazine Idea House Southern Living Collection. Image is printed directly onto the back of a 1/4 thick sheet of clear acrylic. Crylic print is attached to a 1/4 thick black board which has a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back. Acrylic print arrives "ready to hang" - simply put a nail in your wall, hang your print from the hanging wire, and you're done. Due to the thickness of the black board and mounting frame, the print is offset from the wall by 1.5.

Print on Metal - image is printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16 thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4 thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame on the back of the print includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall. Print arrives "ready to hang". Metal prints are extremely durable.

They won't bend, and they're water resistant. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of the image to produce stunning results. Please note that due to differences in monitor calibration, the colors may look slightly different on the actual artwork than they do here.
