Original Edwardian French ANTIQUE LAVIS. GAULEY one of the popular fashion artists from the era. Black Ink was lightly coloured in blue on the lace sleeves & brown on the dress. A PAINTED on Bristol (embossed stamp AL Bristol).
A note on the right side "20cm" was hand-written for printing purposes. The painting had to be reduced to fit the magazine from 36.5cm to 20cm.
Hand-Numbered "5346" in ink to be published in one of the French fashion publications from this era. This is a UNIQUE piece as it is the original painting. You might find a similar print in L'ELEGANT, LE MONITEUR DE LA MODE, LA MODE ET LES THEATRES but this is the Artist's art.
