I have for sale a large antique aquatint engraving by R. Published in 1929 by A. It depicts the typical early 1800's street scene at the Wall Street area. It shows Trinity Church in the distance along with horse drawn carriage, bookstore, apartments and people walking and congregating. Drawn in a highly detailed, realistic style, the image captures the mood of the times.
The text reads: Wall Street in 1820 Engraved in aquatint by R. Varin and published by A.
50 East 57th Street New York City 1929. Signed in pencil in lower right. Approximate dimension of the frame is: 32.5" x 25".The frame has clear plexiglass front. This is a masterfully executed illustration by a master artist.
