LARGE ANTIQUE CHINESE STERLING SILVER RICE SPOON LADLE 133g SIGNED ZHONGXING
It is marked on the back with 2 hallmarks / chop marks in Chinese - my Chinese friend read these for me and said it says'ZHONGXING' which could be a location or company. It also has the traditional Chinese symbol for'pure silver'. There are also some numbers or signature hand scratched into the back handle. This heavy piece weighs 133.5 grams, and is 12 long with an arched handle and large bowl. It has been acid tested and is guaranteed to be sterling silver minimum or more. The large bowl of the spoon measures 4.25" long x 3" wide, possibly used as a soup ladle or rice server. Very good antique condition, bowl is not dimpled or dented. Any color is reflection, it is not discolored.
It has a chased handle with a very detailed scrolled leaf design. The end of the handle is turned up with a finial. We are unsure of the age, possibly Qing.
