This is a charming and well done Antique Old American Folk Art WPA Seascape Harbor Oil Painting on Masonite, depicting an idyllic harbor scene, possibly somewhere in the Northern California. This work depicts a large red dock house, with various small vessels and figures. In the lower right of the scene, a sailor in a blue uniform and white hat can be seen in a small boat with another individual. This work approximately dates to the 1930's - 1940's and is signed: "Behan" in the lower right corner. I could not find any information on this artist, but perhaps you know more about them or their work? Approximately 26 3/4 x 36 1/4 inches including frame. Actual artwork is approximately 22 x 32 inches. Good condition for age, with some moderate scuffing, edge wear and paint loss to the original period frame please see photos. Acquired in San Gabriel Valley, California.
