This is a mesmerizing and beautifully done Antique Mid Century Modern Outsider American Folk Art Mosaic painting, comprised of ceramic and tiles, with intricate painted areas as well. This work depicts a spotted pink deer, surrounded by a colorful pointillist pattern and colorful foliage. This work is very unusual, and reminiscent of some of the amazing early American Outsider Art that was produced during the first half of the 20th century. Signed: "glover" or "qlover" in the lower right corner. Perhaps you know more about this artist or their work? Approximately 23 5/8 x 27 3/8 inches including frame. Good condition, with some light scuffing and edge wear to the original period frame.
