This large hand painted Limoges squat vase is decorated with a dozen large red, pink and yellow roses on stem and leaf against a soft green ground. The bottom of the piece is signed by. Kimmel, a Professional Chicago Decorator. It is thought that Kimmel decorated professionally for the "Rivir Decorating Studio" of Chicago, a contemporary of Pickard Studios, which operated from 1922-30, besides being a freelance Artist. This squat vase was marked with the green Tressemann & Vogt underglaze mark 7 used from 1892 to 1907, probably the latter part of the period.

It measures a large 12 inches wide and 5 inches tall. The gilded mouth shows some wear from use over the years as well as a small chip that extends into an approximate 2 inch hairline in the body of the vase. There are no other damages to report. The vase still displays beautifully! Please examine all of the photographs as they are considered part of the description and feel free to ask any questions that you may have.
