Antique bronze horse statue the " Torrie horse " or " Mattei horse ". France, circa 1920 (or earlier). Depicting a horse on 2 legs, with the right front and left rear foot raised. Ecorche or skin removed to show clearly the muscles of the horse. Signed on the upper side of the horse tail P.
Standing on a very thick black marble rectangular base. Please see photos carefully to admire the beauty of the work.

Weight : approximately 50 lbs (23 kgs). The marble base shows a crack at the front left side of the horse (glued and no missing pieces). Minor discoloration to the patina (specially at the back of the horse), consistent with age and use, which add charm to the piece.Scratch at the front back side of the horse.
