Antique Black Forest Hunter Large H-Carved German Limetree Cuckoo Clock Working
Fully operational/working, hand-carved, hand-made Black Forest Hunter Cuckoo Clock that was made in Germany with all original parts/components. It has a mechanical THORENS movement that was made in Switzerland. There are three heavy, metal pine cones that hook onto the chains underneath the clock. Each pine cone has an additional chain and all three are pulled down activating the clock. We weren't able to locate the exact spot where the pendulum's weighted section needs to be to for the time to be exact, but that can be easily be found with slight adjustments. At the top of each hour, the platform with the dancing couples spins and they also spin around independently and the door above them opens and the cuckoo bird comes out chirping while the song Edelweiss plays. There are no issues whatsoever and everything works as it should - except the pendulum needs to be properly calibrated/aligned.
This is a beautiful antique clock that looks great and sounds great! NOTE The top hand of the clock unfortunately broke off about half-way down but was glued back into place. It's not noticeable and works perfectly fine but extra care/caution should be used if turning the hands to get a precise time.
