This was painted by a local woman i n the 1940 she was a art teacher at the local high school here in Montrose Co her name was Margaret Price. This is a actual place and you can still drive right up to where is was painted from right outside Ridgeway Co. It is called the Sawtooth Mountain Range and is a part of the San Juans in the Rocky Mountains. Wonderful fall colors nice sized bull elk in the meadow with snow already on the mountains in the distance. 29" x 37" in this nice original oak wood frame with no damage to frame or canvas.
