We believe this is an unsigned Quimper pottery piece: the costumes are consistent with Bretagne, and the artist's surname, Vigier (signed at the base of the statue, see photos 12 and 13), is a prominent family name in the Quimper region.
The figurine is also consistent with others that we researched, most notably, how the faces were done. It is large at 12.5 H (please see photo next to the can of coconut milk for comparison). He base measures 7" x 4.5". The ceramic sculpture is in great condition, some general light wear and a chip at end of woman's ribbon, some very light crazing on the bottom of woman's skirt, please see photos for condition.
