We believe this is an unsigned Quimper pottery piece: the costumes are consistent with Bretagne, and the artist's surname, Vigier (signed at the base of the statue, see photos 12 and 13), is a prominent family name in the Quimper region.
The figurine is also consistent with others that we researched, most notably, how the faces were done. It is large at 12.5 H (please see photo next to the can of coconut milk for comparison). He base measures 7" x 4.5". The ceramic sculpture is in great condition, some general light wear and a chip at end of woman's ribbon, some very light crazing on the bottom of woman's skirt, please see photos for condition. We take great care in sending china, fine collectibles and delicate objects, often double boxing and then double cushioning, within the box and outside of the box. If you have any issues with an order, please reach out to us before leaving feedback.
We want you to be a happy customer!
