Large Antique Black Forest Stag Swiss Carving Signed

Large antique finely carved Swiss Black Forest figure of a stag. In very good condition with no splits or worm. The antlers can be removed for cleaning / transportation. One antler is missing a point, please see photo's.

Very good attention to detail in the carving including individual strands of fur. Retains its original patina and the sculptor has accentuated the eyes with the tiniest touch of white to bring them to life. The figure is signed "AS" on the rear of the base. Measures 28 cm long by 14 cm wide by 33 cm high. Dates to the early 1900's.
