Magnificent piece of military history portraiture of the officer on his black charger painted at full length and a dramatic perspective. Exceptional detail by an accomplished painted with neat detail in the officer and fluid brushwork and reflections of light off the coat of the black war horse. Signed and dated indistinctly bottom right. Presented in its original Empire antique gilt frame with some damage.
