This antique primitive checkerboard measures 25.75" x 16.75" x 1.25, featuring original green and red paint and three-dimensional checker squares. It is assembled with square head nails, probably dating to the late-1800s. Back side shows what appears to be the artist's first attempt. There is also a signature on the back, but it is illegible. Board has a split down the center, but still very sturdy with no damage from the last few decades.
